My career background is in administrative support and customer service. Each of these areas has provided me a foundation on which to build organizational and communication skills. My personal qualities include empathy, patience, goal setting, and leadership. While my degree is an Associates of Arts, with a major in Legal Administration, my major in high school was English and I have 12 years of experience home schooling my four (now adult) children. Each of my children continued to higher education in various fields, with one of them earning 2 degrees. My passions include teaching, learning, and helping others to learn more about the world in which they live. I, especially, enjoy working with children and have continued to do so in a church environment and have received a new opportunity with the recent birth of my granddaughter. In summary, education excites me!

Hobbies
I love learning new skills, facts, subjects--anything that adds to what I already have learned. It is said that 'knowledge is power': I believe that education contains the keys to even more vital life skills than simply power--it unlocks so many opportunities! When I am not caring for my elderly, homebound parents or my brand-new granddaughter, I love to work in my garden, read, do creative writing, sing, sew, cook, exercise, hike, and stay in touch with friends (writing letters is not yet a lost art!!). I am a vibrant, upbeat, empathetic individual who is fulfilled by helping others.
