I am a bilingual tutor, and I love teaching the Spanish language because I think knowing two languages opens up many more doors in life. I enjoyed learning English as my second language, and I love to help my students find joy in learning an additional language, as well. I have tutoring experience, and I have helped many college students enrolled in Spanish classes ranging from Spanish 101 and 102 to intermediate and advanced courses. Many of my students were attending J Sargeant Reynolds Community College, because a professor there believed that I was a great tutor and recommended my services to his students. This experience helped me learn how to tutor a wide variety of students, and I learned to adapt my style of teaching to each of their needs. My favorite teaching-related quote is, "If you can reach me, then you can teach me," by Allie Mooney. When tutoring, I strive to teach in an enthusiastic manner and with great compassion. I also like my students to see me as a very approachable person, so they are never afraid to ask questions. I am very patient, determined, and diligent, and I believe that these qualities help make me a great tutor. In my free time, I enjoy staying in shape by playing sports. I also love the arts, especially music. My other interests are traveling, meditative literature, and doing whatever I can to help various charities.
